This senior leadership role sits at the heart of Digital Services, with significant influence across the Trust and wider health system. You’ll lead high‑profile programmes that turn digital strategy into real benefits for patients and staff. As part of the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT), you’ll contribute to system‑wide digital collaboration while being trusted to lead, innovate and deliver meaningful change that matters. Main duties Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital and accountable to the Chief Digital & Information Officer, you’ll lead the Trust’s Digital Delivery and Transformation function. You’ll manage a multidisciplinary team spanning project and programme management, change, digital training, workstreams and portfolio support, and oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of the digital transformation portfolio. The role offers significant autonomy, responsibility for major budgets, and deputising for the Associate Director when required. You’ll provide visible leadership across digital delivery, change and training; own portfolio governance, prioritisation, benefits and financial oversight; act as Senior Responsible Officer for key programmes; and build strong partnerships with clinicians, corporate teams, suppliers and regional NHS organisations. You’ll translate complex technical concepts for senior audiences and embed robust project, programme and change management practices to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery. Essential person specification requirements You’ll be a credible senior digital leader with a strong track record of delivering complex programmes, leading multidisciplinary teams, managing change and realising benefits. You’ll bring sound financial acumen, excellent communication and influencing skills, and the confidence to operate from frontline services to Board level. Above all, you’ll be motivated by improving care and staff experience through digital innovation.
Educated to degree level with experience in a programme management position. Masters degree or equivalent experience at a strategic level in an digital/informatics service Formal project or programme management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP) Evidence of senior leadership development Significant experience of working in a senior management position Experience of managing and implementing strategic digital projects
