Rye Community Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and adaptable SEND Support Assistant to join our highly motivated team. Our ideal candidate will:
1. Have experience, or interest, in working as a SEND Support Assistant.
2. Have experience, or interest, in working with children and families.
3. Have experience, or interest, in working across the curriculum.
4. Knowledge of supporting children with SEND.
5. Have a working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and an understanding of the barriers to communication/interaction, cognition, SEMH and physical progress.
6. Be inclusive in their practice with high expectations of all.
7. Have good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
8. Be committed to continual professional learning.
9. Have integrity, optimism and be able to display a ‘can do ethos’.
