Job Description
SRG is seeking an EMEA Payroll Specialist for a global pharmaceutical company based in Manchester. The role involves managing and overseeing payroll processes for sites across the EMEA region, including UK, Belgium, Netherlands, France, and Spain, in collaboration with third-party payroll providers. The specialist will ensure accurate and timely salary payments and handle payroll topics related to expatriates, such as shadow payroll, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee payroll data accuracy with third-party providers for EMEA employees, including instructing on legal and company-specific changes.
* Review payroll data, calculate premiums, and ensure compliance with country-specific regulations, performing manual checks as needed.
* Handle payroll functions such as onboarding, terminations, tax adjustments, deductions, and direct deposits in accordance with local laws.
* Maintain payroll records, including sick leave, vacation, and other leaves.
* Gather payroll and benefit information, provide instructions to payroll providers, and approve monthly payrolls.
* Instruct Finance on issuing payroll-related payments.
* Communicate with employees regarding payroll matters and troubleshoot complex issues.
* Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, IT) and external partners.
* Assist with audits and support process improvements within HR services.
* Train colleagues to ensure payroll processes are resilient and compliant.
* Work within SLAs to deliver excellent customer service.
* Participate in local projects affecting payroll.
* Maintain knowledge of payroll legislation for assigned regions.
Experience and Qualifications
* CIPP or equivalent qualification.
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
* Experience managing payrolls across multiple EMEA regions.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Proactive with the ability to learn quickly.
* Experience handling multiple payrolls simultaneously.
* Language skills, especially Italian, are advantageous.
* Knowledge of compliance and legislation across various countries.
