Our client, a leading manufacturer for high-performance sectors, is currently seeking 2x Composite Fitters to support continued growth within their precision engineering facility.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced and innovative environment, working on complex composite assemblies to the highest industry standards.
Job Overview
The Composite Fitter will be responsible for trimming, fitting, bonding, and assembling high-spec composite components. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of composite materials and processes, with a proven ability to work from engineering drawings and ensure that all components meet strict quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
* Trim, shape, and fit composite parts using a variety of hand and power tools.
* Bond composite components using adhesives, resins, and mechanical fasteners.
* Assemble components in accordance with defined sequences, ensuring correct fit, alignment, and surface finish.
* Conduct visual inspections to ensure components meet quality and dimensional standards.
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the work area.
* Collaborate with Fitting Section Team Lead and Engineering staff to resolve issues and suggest improvements.
* Accurately document all fitting and assembly activities, including any non-conformities or deviations.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Stay up to date with industry best practices, materials, and techniques.
* Perform other duties as required to support the department and wider production objectives.

Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar composite fitting role.
* Proven background in the fitting, bonding, trimming, and assembly of composite components.
* Experience working with parts for motorsport, automotive, or aerospace applications.
* Comfortable using air tools, hand tools, jigs, and measuring equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively to resolve challenges.
* Able to communicate clearly and effectively across departments.
* Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
