Job Title: Account Manager – Enterprise Technology Distributor (UK)

Location: Basingstoke, UK (Hybrid)

About My Client

My client is Europe’s leading enterprise-focused distributor, specialising in designing and delivering optimised server, storage, and infrastructure solutions into the world’s fastest-growing technology sectors. Partnering with global technology leaders such as Nvidia, Intel, AMD, Supermicro, Dell, and more, they deliver high-performance solutions to their customers.

As they continue to expand, they are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Account Manager to join the team.

Role Overview

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with both vendors and customers. This role requires a proactive, consultative, and strategic approach to achieving sales targets and driving customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Achieve monthly and annual gross profit (GP) targets.
2. Build and execute growth plans for each account, ensuring a full understanding of their needs.
3. Continuously identify and pursue new prospects within key growth markets and technologies.
4. Collaborate closely with other enterprise departments to enhance efficiency and customer value.
5. Support vendor and commercial initiatives as required.
6. Take advantage of training and education opportunities provided by the business and its vendors.
7. Work with management to align personal goals with company objectives.
8. Develop and execute short, medium, and long-term business plans.
9. Maintain an organised, structured approach to account management.
10. Consistently meet role-specific KPIs and metrics.
11. Effectively articulate and demonstrate the value proposition to customers and partners.

Key Skills & Experience

12. Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development within the technology sector.
13. Strong knowledge of enterprise technology solutions, including server, storage, and infrastructure.
14. Ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with customers and vendors.
15. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
16. Proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving targets.
17. Strong organisational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
18. Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making processes.
