Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Dudley
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children with additional needs?
Are you passionate about education, mental health, or speech and language development?
A forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Dudley is seeking a committed Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience supporting students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and additional learning needs.
The Role:
Position: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Salary: Up to £550 per week
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Age Group: Children aged 3–11
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support (up to 5 students)
Assisting pupils with a range of needs including:
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals (e.g. psychologists, SALT)
Supporting emotional wellbeing and social development in a nurturing environment
Building positive relationships that help pupils reach their full potential
Who We're Looking For:
A graduate with a degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field
Someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
Aspiring Educational Psychologists, SEN Teachers, or Speech and Language Therapists
Individuals with patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
