Job Summary
Due to an exciting period of growth and investment, we are seeking an experienced Facilities Project Engineer to join our East Cowes facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and providing workspace facilities to ensure the welfare of our team and optimize asset and process reliability at minimal cost—ensuring assets do not impact the schedule. This position offers a great opportunity for the right candidate to prove themselves and advance into a more senior role quickly.
Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate with business partners to understand their workspace and facility requirements.
* Plan, design, and oversee the configuration, reconfiguration, and alteration of equipment and machinery.
* Gather and review data regarding facility or equipment specifications, restrictions, deadlines, and feasibility.
* Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
* Prepare bid sheets and collaborate with Procurement to contract for construction and facilities acquisitions.
* Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related expenses.
Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates should demonstrate the following:
Essential
* Project or programme management experience or qualification.
* Significant construction and/or mechanical/electrical experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable
* Ability to plan and estimate construction projects.
* Understanding of building standards and ability to read engineering drawings.
* Previous facility engineering experience.
* Professional qualification in an engineering discipline.
* Experience with Lean Operating Models or Production Systems.
