Are you a registered Psychiatric Doctor looking for a new challenge where you can put your in-depth mental health training to use every day? Medacs Healthcare is looking for medical professionals who are passionate about, and experienced in, the science of psychiatry.
Working flexible shifts at Meadowbrook Salford, you will diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of mental health, behavioural and emotional disorders in the role of Psychiatric Doctor.
The setting in which you are based will be wide-ranging too. As a Psychiatric Doctor you may be based in either inpatients or outpatients at Meadowbrook Salford, or rehabilitation environments. You may need to visit your patients in residential care, prisons, schools, or in their own homes.
The work of a Psychiatrist is always engaging and challenging, sometimes moving, occasionally frustrating but often rewarding, sometimes when this is least expected. You will frequently liaise with and learn from highly experienced colleagues in other medical fields such as general medicine, radiology, or neurology and with non-medical
colleagues including psychologists and social workers. There is always someone on hand to turn to for advice, or to chat to.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
As a Psychiatry Doctor with Meadowbrook Salford you will:
19. Work with patients experiencing a range of mental health problems
20. Assess and evaluate patients
21. Analyse data and test results to form accurate diagnoses
22. Create appropriate and bespoke treatment plans for patients
23. Effectively communicate plans of action to other team members (i.e., nursing staff, social workers, etc.)
24. Ensure consistency throughout the duration of treatment
25. Prescribe and administer medications
26. Recognise signs of conditions worsening and intervene where people are at risk of self-harming or hurting others
27. Keep patient records and medical histories updated
28. Uphold the highest standards of practice and care and act as a professional representative of your organisation
29. Research your specialist area(s) and remain up to date with the latest medical guidelines
30. Promote health and wellbeing best practices
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
Essential
31. MBBS or equivalent medical degree
32. Full registration with the GMC
33. A full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
