An opportunity to join Kingston College as a Variable Hours Technician in the School of Creative Industries, with a focus on 3D design and sculpture. This is a part-time, variable-hours role intended to support effective curriculum delivery across art and design subjects and specialist equipment.
Responsibilities
* Provide general technical support for curriculum delivery across art and design subjects and specialist equipment, with a focus on 3D design and sculpture.
* Maintain classrooms, studios and workshops to meet health and safety requirements and ensure users are familiar with equipment.
* Provide technical support for exhibitions as required and assist with planning, installation and takedown of exhibitions.
* Work with other technicians, administrative staff, lecturers and students to ensure high-quality education for part-time and full-time learners.
Qualifications
* High-level skills across one or more areas of art and design.
* Ideally hold a Level 4 or above qualification in a relevant specialism.
* Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
* Experience using Microsoft applications, including the Adobe suite.
Working Pattern
Working days and hours are flexible and may vary throughout the academic year depending on the needs of the School. It is anticipated that the role will require 3 full days, term-time, or equivalent, for the remainder of the academic year.
