Governor – Trustee & Director
The Governing Body is recruiting two new Governors who will also serve as Trustees and Directors of the charitable company. This strategic role involves shaping the School’s development and ensuring robust governance, oversight, and support.
Responsibilities
* Attend all Governing Body meetings in person (four per year, mainly weekday evenings, plus a full‑day INSET in June)
* Serve on at least one committee and attend additional committee meetings as possible (generally one per term, typically at 5 pm via Teams)
* Allocate sufficient time to read papers and prepare for meetings
* Visit the School during the day for link visits
* Complete annual mandatory safeguarding training and any other required training
* Attend other School events where possible
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant skills in Child or Educational Psychology, Child Mental Health and Welfare
* Higher Education (University Level) Admissions experience
This is an unpaid voluntary role; reasonable expenses may be claimed.
All appointed Governors undergo enhanced DBS, Section 128, and child protection screening.
