The Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires nationwide travel, with all hours paid door-to-door, plus excellent overtime opportunities to boost your earnings. Our team of Mechanical Fitters are key to delivering successful projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Assembly, installation, service, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
* Carrying out mechanical fitting, pipework installation, and fabrication tasks.
* Undertaking fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs as required.
* Supporting site-based installation and commissioning activities across the UK.
* Completing job documentation, site reports, and compliance records.
* Adhering to Health & Safety regulations and company standards.
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembler, or similar.
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline.
* Experience with pumps, valves, pipework, and general mechanical assemblies.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Full UK Driving Licence (nationwide travel required).
