The Content team produces over 150 pieces of content per month to support SEO projects and stand-alone website projects. We are a friendly, supportive team comprising a Senior Copywriter, two other Copywriters and a Head of Content, all with a passion for producing great content that gets results for our clients.
About you
You already have copywriting experience with a real dedication to quality writing whilst working in a fast-paced environment. You know how to work with clients to understand their requirements and those of their target markets, tailoring your writing to meet their expectations.
You will write engaging, SEO-optimised and informative web content for a range of clients across all areas of the law. You will support the Head of Content and the wider team to maintain standards, achieve KPIs and develop the team’s practices.
Main responsibilities
The following is a list of the main tasks this job role will handle, but is by no means an exhaustive list and may be varied from time to time:
1. Copywriting – including producing SEO and UX-optimised copy for service pages, blogs, contact pages, staff profiles and other types of content as required
2. Quality control – you will ensure your work meets set requirements, proofreading other team members’ work and taking ownership of quality for a number of our clients
3. Project management – which means delivering work on time and on budget, as well as end-to-end management of standalone projects
4. Stakeholder engagement – you will participate on briefing calls to gauge clients’ requirements (target market, tone of voice etc.) and actively engaging with client and internal feedback
5. Collaborating with people from other teams – including SEO, PR, Account Management and Project Management to ensure smooth delivery of content that meets all objectives
Required skills
Applicants must have the following experience:
1. 1 years’ copywriting experience for the web, ideally within the professional services sector
2. The ability to turn even the most technical and dry subject matters into dynamic, engaging content
3. Writing for SEO and user experience
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
6. Experience of working within a fast-paced environment, producing a high volume of content
7. Comfortable receiving and giving constructive criticism in a positive, considerate manner
8. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, being happy dealing with people face-to-face, on the phone and through video conferencing
9. Confident talking to clients in detail about their business and requirements
10. Commercial awareness, including the ability to write to deadlines and keep to time allowances
11. Good keyboard and IT skills
12. Must be familiar with Mac (preferably) or MS Windows operating systems and MS Office/Email/Internet
13. Excellent organisational, project and time management skills, managing multiple projects
14. Ability to multi-task and take ownership of your projects
15. Self-motivation and a strong desire to learn
16. Passionate about good writing
Experience with/of the following is desirable:
1. Working in and/or writing for the legal sector
2. Using a suite of SEO tools, including Google Analytics and Ahrefs
3. Experience using work management tools such as ClickUp
4. Experience/understanding of SEO, PPC and Social Media
5. Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT
Salary & benefits
1. Dependent on experience but expected to be in the range of £23,400 - £26,000

Location
Hybrid working with an office base in Royal London Buildings, 42-46 Baldwin Street, Bristol, BS1 1PN or another office in central Bristol should we ever move. You must come into the office for at least 1 day per week after your probationary period.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.30pm (unless otherwise agreed)
