We are looking for a dynamic, driven
Sales Manager
to lead the Škoda New and Used Car Sales team at our newly built dealership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience in line with brand standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on driving performance, developing people, and ensuring departmental growth through strong controls and customer focus.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed targets for unit sales, profit per unit, finance, and add-on products.
* Manage daily operations of the new and used car sales departments.
* Ensure full compliance with FCA and Volkswagen Group Financial Services regulations and standards.
* Maximise profit opportunities in all areas of vehicle sales including finance, insurance, and accessories.
* Oversee and manage stock levels, ordering, and display.
* Monitor and analyse KPIs such as conversion rates, enquiry levels, stock turn, and sales pipeline health.
* Deliver a customer-centric sales process that supports high levels of retention, online reviews, and CSI scores.
* Conduct regular one-to-ones, team meetings, and performance reviews.
Work collaboratively with aftersales and marketing to generate leads and promote brand visibility.
What You Will Need To Succeed
* Minimum 2 years in a Sales Manager role within a franchised dealership (Volkswagen brand experience desirable but not essential).
* Strong understanding of F&I processes, new and used car operations, and current FCA compliance.
* Excellent leadership and people development skills.
* High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
* Comfortable using DMS systems, online lead management tools, and manufacturer platforms.
* Demonstrates a customer-first approach and ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
* Target-driven and motivated by performance and team success.
