Designer (Drylining / Interiors) | £45,000 - £58,000 + benefits | Essex/London | Sub‑Contractor | Permanent
Good designers are notoriously difficult to find, especially with drylining experience. This specialist sub‑contractor, a £40m‑turnover contractor with a first‑rate reputation, works on commercial projects for tier‑one main contractors.
Responsibilities
* Detail and layout drawings (fixings, abutments, interfaces)
* Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors and services
* Liaising with suppliers to ensure specifications work on site
* Supporting approvals, revisions and as‑built drawings
* Site visits and, over time, progressing towards 3D capability
Experience & Skills
Ideally the candidate has a drylining background, but we also consider individuals from general interiors, other subcontracting trades or those with extensive AutoCAD experience in construction who want to specialize. Understanding that drawings must function on site – not just look right on paper – is essential.
