Overview A Senior Characterisation Engineer is required to enable the planning and execution of device level reliability qualification programmes as part of the introduction of new process technology at Pragmatic. This is an opportunity to join the fast-growing Technology Platform team at Pragmatic and play a part in the productization of exciting new technology, defining and expression reliability through EDA platforms, advanced models and high quality documentation. Key tasks Working within the "New Technology Introduction" process to define and execute platform qualification plans in order to fully prove out the device level reliability of a new technology platform. Interface between Emerging Technology and Operations teams to take nascent technology from an initial understanding through to release for volume. Develop methods for expressing device level reliability to internal teams and external customers through documentation, models, tools. Work with lead customers and internal organisation to align requirements for new technology. Align Pragmatic's device level qualification roadmap to existing standards, and work with standards bodies to define new standards specific to FlexIC technology where appropriate. Qualifications and training Degree level qualification (e.g. Maths, Physics or Engineer) or equivalent experience is essential. PhD in an applicable field is desirable. Skills and experience Primitive Device Physics background Reliability degradation and failure mechanisms in semiconductor devices Knowledge and understanding of applicable standards (e.g. JEDEC) Extensive experience in a device level characterisation or reliability role Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (desirable) Experience working with silicon foundry PDK's, aging models, reliability expressions (desirable) Novel semiconductor materials and electrical properties (desirable) Hands-on wafer level electrical measurement (desirable)
