Content Marketing Executive – B2B eCommerce
£30,000 | Hybrid/Remote | Full-time | Flexible hours (8am-6pm)
About the Role
We're looking for a curious, customer-obsessed content writer to help us become the go-to authority in our industry. You'll craft content that doesn't just tick SEO boxes, it answers real questions, solves actual problems, and builds genuine trust with our B2B customers.
This isn't about churning out product descriptions. You'll be the voice behind every touchpoint of our customer journey, from website pages to order confirmations, creating content that's informative, compelling, and reassuringly human.

Founded in 2011, Kingfisher Direct Ltd are a B2B eCommerce retailer supplying commercial and industrial products to companies and organisations across the UK. With over 35,000 products in our range, we serve everyone from busy manufacturing plants and warehouse operations to schools, universities, and public sector facilities. Whatever your industry, we've got the gear to keep your operation running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
Website Content
* Write and optimise product pages, category descriptions, and buying guides
* Develop engaging content for information pages, FAQs, and blog articles
* Continuously refine checkout messaging and customer account content
* Create industry-specific landing pages that speak to our diverse sectors
Customer Communications
* Craft every email a customer receives—from order confirmations to delivery updates
* Manage automated messaging across our CRM and eCommerce platforms
* Collaborate with our email marketing agency on campaigns and automated flows across 4 websites
SEO & Analytics
* Work directly with our external SEO agency on content strategy
* Contribute to outreach, link building, and product guide development
* Use customer insights and analytics to inform content improvements
Customer Experience
* Manage Reviews.io messaging and review collection
* Enhance our AI-powered live chat responses using customer FAQs
* Gather testimonials and case studies to showcase real customer success
Wider Responsibilities
* Maintain our LinkedIn company presence with authentic, engaging posts
* Build relationships with supplier marketing teams for product insights
* Keep our internal SharePoint fresh and informative for the team
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience writing for eCommerce websites
* Solid understanding of how eCommerce platforms work
* Current knowledge of SEO best practices for online retail
* Experience with email marketing platforms and their eCommerce integrations
* Hands‑on experience with eCommerce CMS platforms
* Smart approach to using AI as a tool (not a replacement) for content creation
Bonus Points:
* B2B eCommerce marketing experience
* LinkedIn content management for business accounts
* Google Analytics experience for measuring content performance
* Familiarity with Semrush or similar keyword research tools
