Overview
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intelligence Assessor to join the Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) team in the Operational Intelligence Management Unit (OIMU). Applications are invited from Police Constables who are looking to work in the heart of counter terrorism policing.
Responsibilities
* Receive, assess and evaluate intelligence and gather information to inform decision making.
* Take ownership of tasking and prioritise immediate actions based on threat and risk to identify further intelligence or evidential opportunities and mitigate identified threats.
* Problem solve with partners and act as a conduit for the two-way flow of overt, sensitive and secret information.
* Manage intelligence for live operations across the South East and contribute to the development of strategic and tactical intelligence assessments, target and problem profiles and other National Intelligence Model products.
Qualifications and requirements
* Ideally, CT experience with proven experience within an intelligence environment; applications from candidates with an investigative background are encouraged as full training will be provided.
* Ability to undertake sensitive high‑profile enquiries with limited supervision; high standards of integrity and professionalism, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, are required.
* Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel for business across the South East region and occasionally throughout the UK.
* Ability to perform on‑call arrangements for immediate response across the South East region.
* Security vetting: DV clearance and additional security checks; must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past ten years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government) or studying abroad. Some travel restrictions may apply once in post.

* Role is part of a national, regional and local network; you may be required to travel, mainly across the South East region and occasionally throughout the UK.
