Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: Experience in Field Engineering/Construction Engineering with a test and commissioning background Domain specialist within communications systems Relevant experience in a fault-finding role Electrical / electronic experience HNC/HND/Degree in electrical/electronic domain (desirable) Responsibilities: Mature the external communications sub-system on the submarine from build to test Undertake test and trial events on the submarine Manage visits from subcontractors for test events, including submitting security forms and conducting health and safety briefs Investigate defects or non-conformities during installation or testing to resolution Provide specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise to develop the functional design of external communications systems Define systems architecture, components, interfaces, and data for the development and production of sub-systems Understand contractual and performance requirements for external communications systems and support associated acceptance criteria and events Technologies: Support Security More: At BAE Systems, we oversee the installation and testing of the Combat System on our build boats.
