----------------------------------- About the Company Our client is a well-established, independent engineering consultancy with a strong presence across the North West.
They specialise in delivering infrastructure and drainage solutions for residential and mixed-use developments, working closely with housebuilders, developers, and planning consultants.
Their projects range from small bespoke developments through to large multi-phase residential schemes, with a strong focus on practical, buildable design.
----------------------------------- The Role They are looking to appoint a Senior Infrastructure / Drainage Engineer to support the delivery of a growing pipeline of development-led projects.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of design work, manage projects, and contribute to client relationships.
----------------------------------- Key Responsibilities
* Design of drainage and infrastructure for residential developments
* Preparation of:
o Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
o Drainage Strategies
o Earthworks and levels design
* Liaison with statutory bodies (e.g. local authorities, water companies)
* Support planning applications and technical approvals (S104, S38, S278)
* Manage projects and coordinate with internal/external teams
* Mentor junior engineers
----------------------------------- What They’re Looking For
* Strong experience in infrastructure/drainage design (consultancy background)
* Proficiency with MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
* Experience working on residential development schemes
* Good understanding of UK standards and approval processes
* Ability to manage projects and communicate with clients
