HRLife are excited to be working with a SME business to find their next People and Culture Manager. Reporting into the CEO and working closely with the senior leaders this is a broad generalist role which offers lots of variety with a real focus on people, performance and culture.
This is a great opportunity to work with the leaders, look at what is currently in place and embed new ways of working and introduce new initiatives to enhance the employer brand, attracting great talent while ensuring all the essential foundations of HR are in place and working well. You’ll be able to work strategically but also roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail and day to day operational HR too.
Key responsibilities will include;
Future Workforce Planning & Recruitment Strategy
* Design and execute a recruitment strategy that targets high-calibre technical and professional talent, reducing reliance on agencies and improving time-to-hire
* Analyse current workforce demographics, growth plans and industry trends to predict and plan long-term hiring needs
* Design and deliver a highly effective onboarding processes – reducing time to performing output
Performance & Development Framework
* Define the core competencies and skills required for every role, conducting regular gap analyses to prioritise training
* Working closely with managers to identify \"high-potential\" employees and create robust succession and retention plans for critical leadership and technical roles
* Facilitate programs that equip managers with the coaching skills needed to lead a diverse, high-performing, workforce who will be a mix of remote and office-based teams
* Move performance reviews from \"tick-box\" exercises to continuous, value-added development conversations
Embedding Values & Culture
* Ensure the core values are embedded into all key processes
* Lead culture-shaping projects that boost morale and ensure every employee feels a sense of purpose aligned with the company mission
* Facilitate the charities team and support the engagement with the chosen charity to maximise engagement and impact
Internal Communications
* Develop a clear internal comms roadmap to ensure transparency and alignment internally
* Manage and improve internal platforms to keep a dispersed workforce connected and informed
Developing the Employee Brand
* Enhance the external presence (LinkedIn, Careers pages, Industry events) to position the business as an \"Employer of Choice\"
HR Support & Administration
* Oversee the full employee lifecycle administration, from screening, contract generation, onboarding to offboarding
* Maintain and update HR policies in line with UK employment law, providing expert advice to managers on complex Employee Relations cases
* Ensure HR data is accurate, secure, and provides meaningful insights through regular reporting
* Provide reports and insight to the Senior Leadership team monthly
The client would consider candidates on either a 4 or 5 day working week with some flexibility offered however you’ll need to live local to Maidenhead as you’ll be office based 4 days a week and if working 4 days a week, 3 in the office. If you’re looking for 4 days a week then Friday is ideally required as a working day.
Salary 50-60k plus benefits package
