George Browns Ltd is seeking a driven and personable individual to join our Groundcare team as an Area Sales Manager, based out of our Daventry branch and covering Leicestershire and Rutland.
As one of the UK’s leading groundcare machinery dealerships, George Browns is trusted by professionals across local authorities, estates, schools, landscapers, and contractors. We represent top brands like Kubota, STIHL, Toro, Trimax, Timberwolf, and more — offering our customers quality solutions backed by generations of expertise.
Whether you're already in sales or have hands-on experience in groundcare and want to take the next step, we’ll support you with training, mentorship, and the tools to succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Customer Relationships: Build strong, lasting relationships with new and existing customers across your territory.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities through on-site visits, events, and proactive lead generation.
Product Demonstrations: Offer expert advice and tailored demonstrations that match each customer’s specific needs.
Sales Growth: Develop proposals, negotiate deals, and consistently work to exceed sales targets.
Industry Insight: Stay up to date with the latest developments in groundcare machinery to ensure your customers have the best solutions.
Brand Ambassador: Represent George Browns at trade shows, local events, and exhibitions.
After-Sales Support: Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and build loyalty through support after the sale.
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for groundcare, landscaping, turf management, or machinery
Confident communicator who enjoys engaging with customers and building rapport
Self-motivated and organised with the ability to manage your own schedule
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the territory
Sales experience beneficial, but not essential — we’ll train the right person
