Role: Employment Advisor Location: Liverpool City Centre Salary: £26,000 (rising to £27,500 after successful completion of probation) Role Overview Trigon Recruitment is working with a reputable national training provider to recruit an Employment Advisor. In this role, you will manage a caseload of customers who are currently unemployed and referred via Jobcentre Plus, supporting them to overcome barriers and move into sustainable employment. You will use a range of coaching, assessment, and employer engagement techniques to help customers develop the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to secure work. This includes one-to-one support, group coaching, CV and interview preparation, employer outreach, and effective use of available participant funding. Experience within the welfare-to-work or employability sector is desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with strong people skills and target-driven backgrounds such as recruitment, HR, travel sales, retail management, or customer-facing roles. This position involves working towards performance targets related to job starts and sustained employment outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of customers and support them into employment Work towards monthly job start and sustainment targets Complete initial assessments to identify barriers to employment Develop and maintain clear, structured action plans for each customer Deliver one-to-one and group coaching to improve employability skills Support customers with job searching and applications Prepare customers for interviews through coaching and mock interviews Create and review CVs, covering letters, and speculative applications Liaise with employers to source suitable and exclusive vacancies Carry out basic benefit calculations where required Signpost customers to appropriate partner organisations and services Maintain accurate and timely updates on the internal database / CRM Use available participant funding to support positive job outcomes Skills & Attributes Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload Target-driven and motivated to achieve results Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathetic, patient, and supportive approach Ability to motivate and inspire others Resilient and able to work in a performance-based environment Good understanding of employability and job search techniques Confident working with a wide range of people and backgrounds Proactive and solution-focused mindset Additional Information This is a highly rewarding role within a well-established organisation known for its positive culture, supportive environment, and low staff turnover.
