Manpower Recruitment has teamed up with an established school in Oxford to recruit a Full Time Estates Team Supervisor.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Some weekends may be required during busier periods, with overtime paid.
The position offers a salary of £34,000 per annum.

- A full enhanced DBS check will be required.
The school seeks to appoint an Estates Team Supervisor to ensure the team operates effectively across its varied duties, supporting the smooth running of the school. Responsibilities include compliance maintenance, portering, and health & safety. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills and the ability to foster a strong service ethos within a small, friendly team of six maintenance staff.
Main duties include, but are not limited to:
* Participating in an on-call rota and acting as a point of contact for out-of-hours emergencies.
* Conducting regular team briefings on topics such as PPE, risk assessments, sickness & absence, performance management, and workload planning.
* Providing directions to the in-house team to ensure minimal disruption to school schedules when setting up rooms and spaces.
* Assessing maintenance requests and minor works, including defect investigations, building and engineering problem resolution, and recommending solutions. Ensuring compliance with safety and best practice standards, including lift maintenance, fire alarm testing, PAT testing, and legionella checks.
General duties include:
* Supervising and leading the existing team.
* Effective time management and forward planning to optimize team resources.
* Supporting and improving planned maintenance procedures for electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
* Overseeing external contractors’ work.
* Managing the portering service, including setting up rooms for internal and external events, which may involve evening and weekend work.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in managing people is essential.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in maintenance and logistical tasks.
* Willingness to listen, adapt, and promote a team-oriented ethos.
* Support and encourage skill development within the team.
* Good knowledge of planned preventative and reactive maintenance regimes, statutory compliance for building elements and engineering services.
