Class 1 HGV Drivers NightshiftJob Type: Permanent PositionLocation: Wincanton Dedicated Grocery for ASDA, 1 Redlands Crescent, Larne Harbour, Larne, BT40 1AX (Deliveries within Northern Ireland)Reporting to: Transport Department ManagerShift Pattern: Working any 5 days out of 7 each week, scheduled to approximately 9.6 hours per nightCommencing anytime between 5pm and 10pmA unique opportunity has arisen for experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our successful team and support our business delivering goods throughout Northern Ireland, ASDA stores.We are looking for drivers to cover the nightshiftrota.What you need:Full HGV Class C&E (Class 1) LicenceA minimum of 12 months LGV driving and delivery experience, with no more than 3 penalty pointsPossession of a Digital Tachograph cardIn possession of full DCPC (35 hours)Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExcellent customer services skillsFlexibilityExcellent dexterityThe Role:Deliveries to ASDA stores depots as Ambassadors of Wincanton.Organisation and accurate completion of appropriate paperwork for each delivery consignment.Unloading manually required.Prompt and regular communication with Larne depot if any problems arise during shift.Safe and efficient handling of vehicle in all respects, including the optimization of fuel usage, cleanliness of cab etc.Pre-shift checks of vehicle and reporting of maintenance issues.Compliance with all legislation and procedures relating to LGV driving.Conducting self in a safe manner and reporting any issues which risk H&S of self/others.Undertake any training required by operation, the Company provide your yearly CPC training.To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function i.e. shunting duties.Other Benefits (Pro-rated where relevant)Holidays commence at 28 days (including Statutory Days) and increase with service to 33 daysCompany Contribution Pension SchemeOption to join Health Cash Plan, Accident Insurance, Payroll Giving, Cycle to WorkDiscounts across a wide selection of retail storesContinuous Personal Development and Driver TrainingExcellent salary with multi-start, nightshift and Saturday premiums (Nightshift circa. £51,300 without additional overtime)If you feel that you have what it takes to support Wincanton Dedicated Grocery in delivering the best service, we would love to hear from you.
