Customer Delivery Driver Role at Tesco
Our Customer Delivery Drivers earn from £13.35/hour, increasing to £14.56/hour for stores inside the M25. Additional location-based payments may apply.
We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week for new colleagues, with options to work as few as 12 hours. We value flexibility and encourage you to share your availability; shifts are scheduled within your preferred windows with three weeks' notice.
As the face of Tesco on the road, you'll deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, engaging with customers daily. This role involves more than driving—it's about delivering excellent service with a smile, helping others, and making a difference.
The job is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and you'll work independently while supported by managers and colleagues back at the base.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver customer orders efficiently, ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
2. Maintain cleanliness of the delivery area and pick up litter.
3. Wash trays as required.
4. Load the van, check its roadworthiness, and communicate with customers about orders, substitutions, and refunds.
5. Handle products carefully and deliver within the scheduled time slot, calling customers or stores as needed.
Requirements:
* Build positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Be welcoming, responsive, and adaptable to customer needs.
* Drive with a UK/EU/EEA full or automatic license held for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points, and adhere to GB Domestic Driving Rules.
