About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Support Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team within the Chief Executive’s Office on a temporary basis. This is a key role providing high-level administrative and executive support to senior leaders, including Executive Directors and Lead Members. This team operates at the very top of the Council’s structure, covering every area of responsibility — from Transport, Waste, and Planning to Adults Services and Housing, Children, Families and Education, Community Services and Finance. Our ESOs are central to ensuring that the Council’s leadership functions smoothly and efficiently. We pride ourselves on being proactive, collaborative, and adaptable — always ready to support one another and respond to the needs of our leaders. You will be responsible for managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, monitoring inboxes, and responding to correspondence. You’ll also support with preparing reports, organising visits, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
