About You
To apply, you'll need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent qualification, with current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. You will bring experience of Occupational Therapy, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations. You should have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations, and guidance, and be able to chair meetings with clients, families, carers, and other multi-agency professionals. You should be capable of developing strong relationships with partner agencies and the local community to support vulnerable adults.
* Evidence of continuing professional development and capability of practice in line with current professional standards
* In-depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages
* Ability to make clear decisions and identify risks associated with intervention
This role involves travelling around Essex. A driving licence and car, or the ability to meet mobility requirements through other means, is essential.
As part of employment with Essex County Council (ECC), if your role requires a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service. This ensures certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate. This is an annual subscription for which you will be responsible.
