We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Pinetree Court, Cardiff. where you will play a vital role in delivering specialist care to individuals with complex learning disabilities and associated needs within a structured and supportive inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
14. Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in line with individual care plans.
15. Monitor mental state, risk factors, and physical health conditions.
16. Identify and respond appropriately to deterioration or crisis situations.
17. Administer and manage medications in accordance with NMC guidelines and Iris Care Group policies.
18. Safely manage controlled drugs and maintain accurate medication records.
19. Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans in collaboration with the MDT.
20. Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation.
21. Complete risk assessments (e.g., suicide, self-harm, aggression, safeguarding).
22. Promote a safe therapeutic environment.
23. Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately.
24. Follow least restrictive practice principles.
25. Participate in de-escalation and, where necessary, safe restraint in accordance with policy.
26. Report incidents, accidents, and near misses using internal reporting systems.
27. Build therapeutic relationships with service users.
28. Support recovery-focused interventions and rehabilitation goals.
29. Facilitate or support group activities and structured programmes.
30. Promote independence, daily living skills, and social inclusion.
31. Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and support workers.
32. Attend handovers, ward rounds, and MDT meetings.
33. Communicate effectively with families, carers, and external agencies.
34. Work in accordance with:
35. Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and inspections (e.g., CIW/CQC as applicable).
36. Maintain mandatory training and CPD requirements.
Essentials:
37. Registered Nurse (RNLD) or (RMN) with a valid NMC registration
