We’re looking for two experienced Payroll Advisers ready to take the next step – to own a large payroll (around 12,000 colleagues) and play a key role in transforming how we deliver pay across Ocado Logistics. This is your chance to move beyond payroll processing into true payroll ownership and improvement. Why this role? You’ll work on: Delivering BAU excellence for your own payroll area Supporting the roll-out of new payroll systems and processes Contributing to automation, testing, and continuous improvement projects It’s a role that blends technical delivery with transformation – perfect for a Payroll Adviser or Specialist who wants more autonomy, complexity, and influence. What you’ll be doing Managing the end-to-end payroll process for your assigned payroll area (approx. 12,000 colleagues) Delivering accurate, compliant payrolls and all associated reporting Owning HMRC submissions, reconciliations, and third-party payments Supporting incentive payments, pensions, bonuses, and supplementary payrolls Ensuring compliance with all HMRC, GDPR, and internal control standards Partnering with People, Finance, and external providers to deliver a seamless colleague experience What we’re looking for Proven end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally within a medium or large business with hourly-paid staff Oracle payroll experience – essential Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, etc.) Confident in Excel and data validation/reconciliation Detail-driven, proactive, and curious about making payroll better CIPP qualification (or working towards) is an advantage UKG experience desirable What you’ll get in return We believe great work deserves great rewards.
