Radiology Department Assistant – MRI

We are inviting applications from an enthusiastic Individual to work within all imaging modalities in Radiology department, assisting Radiographers, Nurses and Radiologists in the care of patients undergoing radiological procedures and provide support to all health care professionals within the multi-disciplinary team.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team. This post will include shifts between the hours of 8am - 8pm over 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
To assist in the care of patients undergoing radiological procedures; across multiple modalities. Undertaking clinical procedures under supervision; contributing to patient care and safety whilst in the department.
A key element of the role is to provide administrative assistance to ensure effective work flow within the service.
You will be required to work collaboratively with other clinical colleagues in all areas within Radiology to support inter‑department staffing demand. For further reading please refer to Job description.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level with A‑C grades in English or Maths or equivalent
* Has gained or is willing to work towards NVQ 2 Care Certificate
Skills
* Communication Skills and Team work experience
* Able to organise and manage own time
* Basic IT skills

* Any previous experience in acute healthcare setup.
