Support the Spaces Supporting Student Success - Join us as Estates Assistant Join our team and help keep Sheppey College running smoothly – every day is different! EKC Group are seeking an Estates Assistant to join the Group at our Sheppey College site. As an Estates Assistant, you will play a key role in the Estates team, providing essential caretaking services across the college. The position covers a wide range of services normally associated with Estates functions. In this role, you will: Carry out unlock and lock duties of buildings. Set intruder alarms before and after operational opening hours, including weekends. Act as a responsible key holder. Contribute to the Estates on-call rota, ensuring the safety and security of the site. Shift based to be agreed with the team leader on a termly basis. Either - 05:00 - 13:00 or 10:00 - 18:00. With the opening of a brand-new building in November, this is an exciting time to join Sheppey College. Our Estates team are at the heart of keeping the campus safe, efficient, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will: Work independently and as part of a supportive team. Take a flexible approach to tasks and shift patterns. Demonstrate strong organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure. Carry out testing, monitoring, and maintaining of Legionellosis records. Undertake emergency light testing and accurate record keeping. What we’re looking for: Previous estates or facilities experience would be an advantage. Most importantly, enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn. A passion for supporting the next generation through safe and well-maintained facilities. The ability to live within 20 minutes of Sheppey College for on-site responsibilities.
