Head of Propositions - 3PL Logistics
Remote with UK Travel
Up to £70,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
Are you an experienced Logistics and Supply Chain professional interested in joining a Global 3PL?
As Head of Propositions, you will lead the creation and launch of compelling, profitable new propositions in line with business strategy. Working across multiple stakeholders, the role's purpose is to ensure all relevant market research, competitor analysis, and customer understanding are carried out and inform the solution design, commercial and pricing models, marketing, contractual, and legal requirements of new service propositions.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, passionate about creating new service propositions, experienced in value proposition development, strategy, and delivery, and interested in maintaining their knowledge and insight on different market segments and their respective needs and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposition and Product Strategy
* Lead and manage the Propositions team
* Define, develop, and deliver new product and service strategies aligned with the company's strategic plan
* Conduct market analysis to support sector strategies, products, and services positioning
* Create value propositions and business cases for multi-capability offerings by leveraging existing products
* Support the creation of new propositions derived from sector strategies
Development and Implementation
* Identify and address capability gaps across the business during proposition development
* Partner with the projects team to lead a steering committee defining scope and requirements for new solutions
* Prepare business cases for new solutions with finance and the product owner
* Develop commercial frameworks and pricing models for all products and services
* Coordinate with marketing to ensure proper marketing and sales materials for new services
Communication and Research
* Present proposals and project updates to senior leadership
* Lead internal engagement for awareness of new propositions before external launch
* Oversee research, internal and external, supporting sector strategies and Strategic Pursuit
Experience:
* Logistics and Supply Chain sector experience, ideally within a Third Party Logistics provider
* Strategy development and delivery experience
* Experience in developing and launching new services or products
* Managing multiple senior stakeholders
* Managing multiple customer-facing programs
* Ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines
* Good presentation and communication skills
* Self-starter, resilient, well-organized, confident, detail-oriented
* Analytical and commercially aware
* Flexible, can-do attitude
