Job Description:
Here at Ridge, we are pioneers in the Built Environment Consultancy industry where we continually expand our expertise and nurture our talent – with a focus on quality, innovation and growth. We are looking for a 1st Line IT Support Technician to join our Technology team at our head office in Oxford, Woodstock. You will support approximately 1350 users, responding to incidents and requests in line with SLAs. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT queries via phone, portal, and walk-ups, handling hardware, software, telephony, and mobile issues. This role offers opportunities to gain insight into infrastructure technology and grow your technical skills.
About you:
You should be interested in IT, self-motivated, conscientious, organized, and able to communicate effectively at all levels. You should have a logical approach to problem solving and be capable of multitasking.
Essential skills:
* Basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, printers, and network issues
* Supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* User account management with tools like Active Directory
* Device setup for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and following procedures
