New Business Sales Manager PPG Refinish Distribution Full Time | Permanent Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Direct Sales Manager to join our sales efforts in the Commercial Transport and Light Industrial Coatings (CT&LIC) sector. The Direct Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth through our direct channels and building strong relationships with key customers, especially in the CT/Body builder, OEM and repairer HGV markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the CT & LIC industry, with good knowledge of product application and customer needs in an OEM environment. What's in it for you? Competitive starting salary with yearly pay reviews Excellent bonus structure Company car & fuel card Company benefits including generous pension contributions, private healthcare plans, staff discounts and much more Key Responsibilities: Responsible for current business accounts worth c£5m annually Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth in the CT&LIC sector, with a specific focus on the agricultural, plant and machinery markets Identify new account opportunities and develop plans to win new business, allocate new business accounts to the correct sales channel (direct or via distribution) Promote and support the sale of CT products into direct car bodyshops in collaboration with collision colleagues Collaborate with colleagues within the sales organization structure to ensure business is fed into the most appropriate channel for team success Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, both commercial and technical and providing tailored solutions. Conduct regular customer visits to build rapport, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling. Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to develop effective sales materials and promotional campaigns. Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in the CT&LIC sector. Provide market feedback to the management team to support product development and improvement initiatives. Knowledge & Skills: Proven experience in sales, key accounts or in a similar sales role, ideally within the CT&LIC industry. Strong knowledge of the CT&LIC sector, including market dynamics, customer needs, and industry trends. Technical experience, especially around products and application methods within CT&LIC Sales experience within a technically driven market sector, and of selling through distribution Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Proficient in sales forecasting and reporting.
