Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse family law caseload, including :
* Divorce and financial remedy proceedings
* Private law children matters (residence, contact, relocation, etc.)
* Injunctions (non-molestation, occupation orders)
* Cohabitation disputes and property claims (including TOLATA matters)
* Draft pleadings, financial settlement documentation, orders, witness statements, and court forms.
* Attend client meetings, mediations, and court hearings; instruct counsel where necessary.
* Supervise and mentor junior fee earners and paralegals.
* Contribute to business development initiatives, networking, and client engagement.
* Travel locally between Bury and Salford offices, as well as to client meetings and court appointments.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience in family law.
* Proven experience in divorce, financial remedy, private law children matters, and cohabitation disputes.
* Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
* Ability to manage a busy caseload independently while providing guidance to junior team members.
* Proactive and commercially aware, with a willingness to contribute to business development.
* Knowledge of Legal Aid work is desirable, but not essential.
