Group Leader Role - Portadown Summary * Location: Portadown * Hours: Friday 06.00 - 14.30; Saturday 06.00 - 18.00; Sunday 06.00 - 18.00; Monday 06.00 - 14.30; Tuesday OFF; Wednesday OFF; Thursday OFF * Pay Rate / Salary: £40,000 per year * Contract Type: Permanent * Recruitment managed by Staffline on behalf of Kerry Foods. About the Role We are recruiting for a Group Leader Role to join the team at the Portadown manufacturing facility. This Group Leader Role will suit a positive leader who can champion safety, inspire teams, and promote operational excellence. The Group Leader Role offers the opportunity to lead weekend production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Why Apply 25 Key Responsibilities * Lead, recruit, induct and develop the Production Weekend Team through training, feedback and support * Promote and enforce site health and safety culture, implementing risk mitigation measures * Facilitate and execute Continuous Improvement using Lean methodologies and practical problem solving * Organise labour to optimise staffing levels and cover essential roles during absences * Collaborate across Production, Agency and site-based teams to maximise labour efficiency * Manage KPIs and drive continuous improvement of performance metrics * Maintain product quality and GMP compliance in line with agreed standards and policies Essential Criteria * Experience leading production/operations teams including recruitment, training and performance management * Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and risk assessment * Practical experience with Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools * Ability to organise staffing effectively and collaborate across departments * Experience monitoring KPIs and driving measurable improvements * Knowledge of GMP within a regulated manufacturing environment * Strong communication, organisational, analytical and decision-making skills Desirable Criteria * Relevant qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering or Operations * Lean Six Sigma or Health & Safety certification * Experience in FMCG or regulated production environments * Experience leading change initiatives or cross-functional projects * Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems and production reporting tools About the Employer Kerry Foods is part of Kerry Group, a major international food and ingredients business headquartered in Ireland, with operations in the UK, Ireland and globally.
