The Education, Schools and Inclusion team play a pivotal role in the education of adults and children across Gateshead. They offer specialist advice on school improvement, educational psychology services and special educational needs as well as input on school organisation and admission, adult learning and early years childcare. Their work has direct impact on thousands of people across Gateshead and is led by Service Director, Suzanne Dunn.

You will join Learning and Skills, a committed and collaborative team within Education, Schools and Inclusion, dedicated to delivering high‑quality learning opportunities that improve outcomes for young people and adults across the borough. What You Will Get To Do

* Use a variety of digital and in person methods to contact current and previous learners to gather feedback and progression data.
* Design and complete learner satisfaction surveys and engagement activities.
* Gather, analyse and interpret feedback data to identify trends, strengths and areas for improvement.
* Visit learning settings, including classrooms and apprentice workplaces, to engage directly with learners and capture their experiences.
* Work with the Quality and Business Improvement Manager to present findings to managers and leadership teams through clear, impactful reports and presentations.
* Create case studies that showcase positive learner journeys to support promotion and reporting.
* Develop and maintain “You said, we did” communications to demonstrate how learner feedback informs service improvements.
* Use digital tools such as Microsoft Forms, Excel and PowerPoint to collect, analyse and present data in a clear and engaging way.
* Meet targets for learner engagement and ensure progression data is accurate, up to date and meaningful.
* Provide high quality information, advice and guidance to enable learners to make informed decisions, including signposting to appropriate services.
* Provide outstanding customer service to learners, employers, parents, partners and stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers and communications teams to support service improvement and promotional activity.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post.


What You Will Bring

* Knowledge and understanding of business and educational processes and procedures.
* Understanding of post‑16 education.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Forms.
* Strong experience of communicating effectively with a wide range of audiences, including young people, adults, learners with SEND and employers.
* Experience of collecting, analysing and presenting data to produce clear reports and insights.
* Experience of inputting and managing data using management information systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong listening and engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
* The ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful insights and compelling narratives.
* Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, including managers and communications teams.
* A flexible approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* English and maths at a level appropriate to the role.
* A Level 2 qualification or apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant area such as business administration or customer service.
* Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) qualification.
