Our client, a leading manufacturer within the construction supply industry, is seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Driver / Yard worker to join their team. Operating within a modern, fast-paced production environment, this role is essential in ensuring the smooth movement, storage, and handling of products across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment
* Load and unload deliveries with accuracy and care
* Transport materials to production and storage areas
* Conduct routine equipment checks and report faults
* Ensure stock is correctly handled and stored
* Support warehouse and production teams as required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
* Comply with company policies and best practices
* Assist with general warehouse duties when needed
Person Specification
Essential
* Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach preferred)
* Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Reliable and flexible approach to work
Desirable
* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
* Knowledge of stock control and warehouse processes
* Experience with warehouse or inventory management systems
