Purpose of the role
As a Contactor Coordinator you will be responsible for supervising the programming, scheduling and delivery of contractor resources allocated to capital programme projects. The role will involve ensuring contractors have delivery programmes and plans in place and work is delivered in accordance with them for all awarded project work.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise the production of contractor work programmes and plans for capital delivery projects.
• Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure everyone is fully informed of progress with contractor delivery of awarded works.
• Attend contractor project planning and progress review meetings as required.
• Monitor delivery of projects to ensure they are executed in accordance with programmes and plans.
• Escalate delivery issues with contactor leadership teams and secure corrective actions taken where necessary to ensure delivery to programmes and plans.
• Provide support to the ENW project managers responsible for the delivery of the projects.
• Working with local authorities and other external stake holders to enable planning of works.
• Attend any relevant meetings with external stakeholders regarding works co-ordination.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Highly developed project coordinator skills including project planning and resource management.
• Experience of engineering or construction project management.
• Highly organised with a strong focus on quality together with excellent attention to detail and highly developed problem- solving skills.
• Excellent communication, numerical and analytical skills.
• Self – motivated with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to challenging timescales.
• Well developed stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Highly organised with excellent attention the detail and highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with key stake holders quickly.
• Educated to HNC/HND level in a science, engineering or project management discipline, although other educational qualifications will be considered.
