Admin Assistant – ESBD Provision

Temporary Contract. Grade: G04.
Start date: September 2026. 18.75 hours per week (Pro‑Rata) during Term Time.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Providing high‑quality administrative support to the school leadership team and wider staff.
* Acting as the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors, and external professionals.
* Managing telephone calls, emails, and front office enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
* Maintaining accurate pupil records and confidential documentation.
* Supporting attendance monitoring and appointments.
* Processing orders, invoices, and general office administration tasks.
* Supporting safeguarding procedures and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
* Working closely with teaching staff and external agencies to support pupils and families.
* Assisting with admissions, transition arrangements, and parent meetings where required.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with parents, carers, pupils, and professionals.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with challenging or sensitive situations.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A professional and confidential approach at all times.
* Good ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
* An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality within a school setting.
* Experience working within a school or educational environment is advantageous.


Desirable Experience

* Previous experience using Bromcom/SIMS, P2P systems, NMRU Milk Returns, SWAC/PLASC/ATTENDANCE.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
