Assistant Syndicate Accountant
Location: London based (50% hybrid working)
Salary: circa £60,000

Please note that Lloyds syndicate accounting experience is essential to be successful in this position.
A bit about the job:
You’ll join our Syndicate Finance team at Probitas Syndicate 1492, part of Aviva. We’re a growing Lloyd’s Syndicate focused on innovation and excellence. You’ll help maintain financial ledgers, prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and support Lloyd’s regulatory returns. Your work will make sure our financial reporting is accurate and timely – helping us deliver for our customers and the business.
Skills and experience were looking for:
* Lloyd’s insurance market experience with a good basic grasp of insurance accounting concepts
* Excellent reconciliation skills and experience
* Strong Excel and general ledger system skills (Sun GL & Q&A preferred)
* Great communication and time‑management skills with high attention to detail
* Actively studying for an accounting qualification
