Geography Teacher – Bolton – Summer term
A dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher is required to work at a ‘good’ secondary school in Bolton, to join their humanities department on a full-time basis for the Summer term. From after the Easter break until July 2025.
This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way, in tandem with AfL.
This is a Good school in terms of behaviour and attitude, personal development and leadership and management. The leaders of the school have high expectation of the students which they rise to, striving for success at every opportunity. Many pupils enjoy various clubs and activities and take on additional responsibilities. These include music, drama, sports, and a range of groups to support the promotion of tolerance and respect.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Geography
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT,, QTS, etc) in Geography
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
