We are looking for a dedicated Special Needs Classroom Support Assistant to join a school in East Grinstead, providing hands-on support to pupils with additional learning needs.

About the Role
The Special Needs Classroom Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support pupils both academically and socially. You will provide individual and group support, help manage classroom behaviour, and contribute to a positive learning environment, ensuring pupils with additional needs are fully included and supported.
Responsibilities
* Assist pupils with additional learning needs in the classroom
* Support teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and learning activities
* Help manage behaviour and promote positive social interactions
* Provide personal care where required, supporting pupils’ comfort and dignity
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
* Collaborate with SEN staff to implement individual support plans
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs
* Understanding of behaviour management strategies and classroom support techniques
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet individual pupil needs
