Overview
We are pleased to offer the substantive appointment of a Consultant Physician, with a special interest in Medicine for the Elderly at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This position will be based at Barnet General Hospital. If appointed you will join a committed team of consultants, in our well-developed and respected service. Responsibilities
* Support the Enhanced Care Unit, the acute medical ward and the AAU hub (through which run the acute medical take and SDEC pathways).
* Support the Acute medical team in other areas of service delivery, as and when opportunities arise.
* When working in the AAU, contribute to running the fast turnaround bed base and provide an adjoining same day/same week hot clinic.
* Play a role in running the virtual ward service, an expanding development for patients at the hospital.
* Be on the acute integrated medical on-call rota, supporting weekend and out of hours provision on a 1:8 rota.

Salary
£109,725 to £145,478 per year plus London weighting.
