Stock Planner Location: Tamworth Term : 6-month FTC (Hybrid - 2 days per week on-site) About the Role: Are you a data-driven, organised, and resourceful planning professional? Our client is seeking a Stock Planner for the peak seasons to ensure the availability of their products through robust demand forecasting, stock level management, and smooth inventory flow. This role places you at the heart of their Tamworth Fulfilment Centre, working closely with supply chain teams to optimise stock and support customer satisfaction. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory health, minimising waste, and driving continuous improvements in stock planning for a leading personalised gifting brand. The Ideal Candidate: Experience: At least 2 years of experience in stock or inventory planning, range planning, or merchandising within retail or e-commerce environments is preferred. Familiarity with replenishment and distribution strategies, especially for seasonal and promotional cycles, is desirable. Confident working with large datasets and planning systems, with a track record of clear communication and stakeholder collaboration. Skills: Strong analytical approach, with advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP or demand planning systems. Highly organised - able to manage multiple product categories and meet deadlines under time pressure. Capable of influencing and aligning cross-functional teams and suppliers towards stock goals. Qualifications: Degree or professional qualification in supply chain, business, mathematics, or a related field preferred. Key Responsibilities: Forecast demand and create weekly, line-level stock projections, adjusting for trends, promotional activity, and seasonality. Monitor and report on key inventory KPIs such as stock turns, weeks of cover, and availability. Own the stock plan for designated product categories, including managing OTB budgets and supply assumptions. Identify, address, and clear slow-moving or excess inventory in partnership with buying and merchandising. Maintain strong supplier relationships to reduce lead times and support delivery reliability. Coordinate warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate stock movement. Build and maintain tools and reports that track forecast accuracy and inventory health.
