Hays Education is working in partnership with a creative and inclusive secondary school in London to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music. This role would suit both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners who are passionate about developing students’ musical skills, creativity, and confidence.The successful candidate will deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach GCSE and A‑level Music for suitably qualified candidates.

1. Plan and deliver inspiring Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
2. Teach practical and theoretical elements of the Music curriculum
3. Prepare students for GCSE and A‑level assessments where applicable
4. Encourage musical participation through ensembles, performances, and events
5. Monitor and support student progress and engagement
6. Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguard student wellbeing at all times
What you'll need to succeed
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent
8. Strong subject knowledge in Music education
9. The ability to inspire creativity and confidence in learners
10. Experience of classroom and practical music teaching
11. Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
12. Amitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
13. ECTs are encouraged to apply and will be well supported
