Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or trade background
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company health & safety policies and procedures
* Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
* Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track installation to ensure compliance with specifications and schedule
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
* Coordinate room and area standards for CSA and MEP quality for beneficial use in line with the master schedule
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation progress
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete work efficiently
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing for Mechanical and CSA scopes
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
* Ensure system mechanical stakeholders produce necessary documentation such as programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
