Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare in custody suites in collaboration with the Police, providing round-the-clock coverage as per the schedule agreed with the client.
* Work not only in the base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
* Serve detainees with professional care, be flexible to rotate shifts as required, and contribute to maintaining safety and wellbeing.
Requirements
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post-qualification - Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post-qualification
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field (e.g., General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service)
* Driving Licence required
* Must have right to work in the UK, British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of the country more than 3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
Compensation and Benefits
* Salary £41,000 per year
* £1000 bonus after completing 12 months of service
* Full-time role with fixed shift working in a team rota pattern: 4 shifts on and 4 days off; day shifts 06:45 to 19:00 for 2 days, then 2 night shifts 18:45 to 07:00; rolling rota available 2 years in advance
* Average overtime £3,500 per annum
* NMC/HCPC Registration paid
Training and Development
No previous forensic experience required as full training will be provided. The role includes opportunities for progression and extensive training as part of Mitie's development pathway.
