DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Power Generation Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team specializing in the Service, Repair and Maintenance of Gensets and Electrical controls and equipment for Cummins, ideally home based in the Midlands/South Yorkshire Region of the United Kingdom.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field
2. Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists / supervisor
3. Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
4. Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
5. Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
6. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor
7. The ability to work with minimal supervision Installation
8. Ability to accurately diagnose faults
9. Accurate and timely completion of Service Documentation
10. Highlight upsell opportunities to the Customer and ensure that any rejected opportunities are evident on the Service Worksheet before Customer signature
11. When required, disseminate knowledge and experience to other Service personnel
12. Undertake training in line with skill and competency requirements.
13. Ensures Personal tool kit meets minimum requirements.
14. Company supplied tooling is maintained to the appropriate standards.
15. Comply with Company and Government legislation in relation to Health and Safety and Environment.
16. Flexible working across the UK from time to time
17. 24/7 Call Out Rota (1 in 5-week coverage)
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
18. Minimum of 3 years experience diagnosing and repairing of Power Generation equipment
19. Mechanical / Electrical experience
20. Control Panel upgrade experience
21. General rewire experience
22. Marine Electrical experience
23. Electrical Theory and Troubleshooting
24. Electrical circuit and system design
25. Panel Building - Cabinet fit out
26. LV/HV Switchgear experience preferred but not essential
27. Experience in PLC control systems preferred but not essential
28. Experience with Aftermarket Genset Controllers Preferred but not essential
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
29. Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering.
30. 18th Edition Electrical qualification preferred
