Description The Role… We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who wants to build an amazing career on the biggest women’s lifestyle brand in the UK. You will need to be brilliant with all kinds of people – members, senior editors, clients, celebrities, PRs and agents, as well as colleagues right across the business. You’ll be planning live events, producing member-only content, sourcing amazing offers and competitions, and supporting our Editor in Chief the day-to-day smooth running of the brand team. You’ll need great attention-to-detail and love balancing multiple priorities at once. You will have a great degree of autonomy to generate good ideas and find ways to make them happen under your own steam. This is an entry-level job with loads of potential to make an impact quickly. This is a full-time position based in our central London office 4 days a week with some evening work required on an ad hoc. Main Duties… To be the go-to “members’ friend” for our fantastic community of GH members – you will likely end up genuinely becoming friends with some of them! To work with the customer team and editorial colleagues to develop content that showcases all the benefits of being a GH member – across social, in the Rewards portal and on the GH website To be the central co-ordination point in the GH brand team for the member event programme, working closely with the customer team to make sure members know about what’s coming up and how to get involved To contribute ideas for member events and experiences and collaborate with editorial colleagues to secure great speakers To source amazing, high value competitions, offers and discounts to run in print and on the member Rewards portal To work closely with the GHI team to ensure members have the best possible access to and experience of their GHI testing entitlement To monitor the member help inbox and respond to all member queries in person, promptly and warmly, solving problems and taking feedback To work with the Deputy Editor and the customer team to make sure that membership is embedded throughout editorial in print and online – from promotion pages to organic mentions throughout editorial To pitch ideas for GH editorial and be willing to get involved as required with creation of video, social and other content To assist the Editor in Chief with diary management, expenses, travel booking and other admin as required To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values. You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time. What We Are Looking For… Solid copywriting experience required Experience working in a content creation or marketing environment is required Knowledge of digital content management systems and email marketing systems is a distinct bonus Some experience of live event delivery is useful but not essential The most important thing is to be outgoing, confident and friendly, to love talking to people from all walks of life, and not to be afraid to pick up the phone and convince people – whoever they may be – to work with us. This is a job that you can’t do only over email! You will need to be energetic, focused and willing to learn, with a determination to make an impact in a short period of time.
